About This Blog
Sentire Cum Ecclesia began years ago back when blogs were the latest thing. They are a bit passe now, and I spend most of my time on twitter (@scecclesia) but from time to time, I do add new things on this ‘ere website. Mostly I use it as a place for journaling about my Pilgrimage experiences.

It was a great occasion
This photo from The Age captures the spirit of Archbishop Frank Little’s funeral yesterday perfectly. It was an historic moment–the casket was lowered into the crypt of the Cathedral (a very small affair, not something that you can actually enter easily)–an event which had not happened since 1983 when Cardinal Knox was similarly interred.
Unfortunately your correspondent missed witnessing the actual moment because, like many others with whom I have spoken who were also there, I was caught up with the vigour and vibrancy of the singing of the Our Father at the very point when the casket was lowered.
Don’t let anyone ever tell you that Catholics can’t sing. They did yesterday in the Cathedral.

It looks marvelous. May he rest in peace.
It must however be said that like his anaemic predecessor he oversaw the destruction of the Cathedral Sanctuary and the imposition of the eminently banal Novus Ordo…….
And I might ass the big Altar Boy said this about T F Little “”With humility and faith he accepted the road that was his and despite the personal cost which the making of significant decisions entailed he received very good advice was deeply sensitive to the needs of those who would be affected by his actions,”
what was the “advice” and what was the “personal decisions” ???? That pack of spalpeens plotted against Little and forced him out and that’s the truth.
Not the Janet Mead “Our Father” I hope!
