How Cool Is This??? Pope Benedict and Our Lady of Fatima!

Here’s something I didn’t know. When the statue of Our Lady of Fatima arrived by helicopter in the Vatican, her first port of call was the chapel of the residence of the Pope Emeritus, Benedict XVI. From there, she went to Casa Santa Marta, and only then into St Peter’s Square.

Here is video of Pope Benedict venerating the statue:

Actually, to be honest, it is a great comfort to see this video, as we can see that our dearly beloved Papa Benny is in very good health. Our Lady of Fatima, pray for Pope Benedict.

Looking at this close video of the Pope emeritus, you have to believe that he looks in rude good health. Best I’ve seen him look since he renounced the See of Rome at the start of the year. The semi-hermitage life seems to be agreeing with the former pontiff and no dount he doesn’t have to worry and be concerned over every move, every decision, every day of the year. For a man approaching 9o he looks in great form. Silence, meditation, prayer, reading and writing is a great source of strength to him now in his twilight years after great service to the Church. Possibly the greatest pope-teacher of recent centuries. Hope the Lord allows him to be around for the April 27th double papal canonisations of his predecessors.
