“Atheists don’t have no songs”

More holiday merriment. HT to Pastor Matt Harrison.

At least they’re all singing from the same (if only one) hymn sheet! And I wish we did get Gregorian Chant when we go to mass…

Let ‘s see an atheists hymn
‘ All creatures of our —- and —-
Lift up your voice and with us sing,
    Alleuia? Alleuia
Thou burning sun with golden beam,
Thou silver moon with softer gleam!
    O praise —-! O praise— !
    Alleluia? Alleluia!? Alleluia!?

or ” All creatures that from evolving sprung
sing to the processes which begun
    DarwinDawkins .Darwin Dawkin
    Though chemically determined balding man
Though who was not born by any Plan
    Oh Hawking Oh hawking
    Oh hawking”
Yep make it one and ahalf sheets still Schutz

Seems to me that your first effort is more like the ‘Agnostics Hymn’, Matthias, or even a theist who ‘dare not speak the name’. Here’s my sublter (and, I admit it, less funny) effort:

All creatures of no God and King,
Lift up your voice and with us sing,
      Eureka! Eureka!
Thou burning sun with golden beam,
Thou silver moon with softer gleam!
O praise them, O praise them!
Eureka! Eureka! Eur – ee – ka!
